PYFF sponsors all-star teams!!!5/6/06

Peabody Youth Flag Football is going to sponsor 2 All-star teams, one from the 9-11
division and one from the 12-14 division. All players selected to the all-star teams will
receive one free Peabody flag football sleeveless T (as seen on the front page) and entry
fee into the tournament on June 18th at Peabody High School.

The all-star teams are made up of players from the league that have shown outstanding
ability, talent, effort, sportsmanship and most importantly a positive attitude throughout the
season. Players can only make the team if they have been nominated by their coaches
and/or have been nominated by the referee's or the league organizer. Both all-star teams
and coaches will be announced at the end of season banquet which is slated for June 15th
(more details to follow).

After playing in the tournament the 2 all-star teams and their coaches will then prepare for
the NFL regional qualifier which will be held at Giants stadium, NJ in October. Last year 4
teams made the trip to Giants stadium and came out with a combined 7-5 record. Any team
that wins their division at the regional qualifier will win an all-expenses paid trip to the NFL
youth flag football National Championships held in November at Disney's wide world of
sports complex, FL.

This year Peabody Youth Flag Football is planning on taking 7 teams to the qualifier;

9-11 Finalists x2
12-14 Finalists x2
9-11 All-stars
12-14 All-stars
12-14 Girls All-stars

So remember if your team does not make the championship game you still have a chance
of attending the regional qualifier if you get selected to the all-star team however In the
9-11division there are 155 players and only 10 get selected, in the 12-14 division there are
116 players but only 10 get selected!!! So play hard, but play fair!!!
