Trip to Gillette Stadium!!!
Peabody Youth Flag football is taking a trip to Gillette stadium this summer. The purpose of
the trip is to see the 3 times Super bowl champions in training camp, attend the New
England Patriots Experience and to compete in a once a year, punt, pass and kick
competition. There will also be an opportunity at the end of the training session to get
autographs from the players, last year we got autographs from Tom Brady, Troy Brown,
Rodney Harrison, Teddy Bruschi and others.
The competition is open to all boys and girls from ages 8-15, each participant will be
grouped into 8-9 yrs old, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15.The competition is to see who can punt the
farthest, throw the farthest and place kick the farthest. The winners in each category will
move onto sectional qualifiers and the finals will take place at half time of an AFC
Championship game. Last year 4 PYFF players won their division and reached the
sectional qualifiers. The competition however is just for fun and those that attend the trip
need not even participate.
We will be visiting Gillette stadium on Saturday July 29th and we will be visiting again on
Sunday July 30th. The cost of the trip is $20 per person which covers the cost of hiring the
bus for the day. (lunch is not included so please bring a packed lunch, although concession
stands will be available)
