| This summer Peabody Youth Flag Football is organizing a football festival for families, flag football fanatics and football fans of all kinds. This event is the second in Peabody and promises to be an extravaganza for all. Last year 24 teams from 6 different leagues took part in the event and this years event is set to be bigger still. The main event will be the flag football tournament which will be played on the high school football fields in front of the bleachers and hundreds of screaming fans. The competition is co-ed and will be divided into three age categories 6-8 yr olds, 9-11 yr olds, 12-15 yr olds, (age as of Jan 1st, 07) The tournament entry fee is $100 per team and every team is guaranteed at least 4 games, all finalists will receive trophies and there will be a small presentation for the champions of each age category. (see below for more tournament details) Running along side the flag football tournament there will be all kinds of games such as football toss, bungee run, bouncy castles, obstacle courses and much more to keep the kids entertained. There will also be the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition running for kids aged between 8-15. Also on the day there will be concession stands, face painting, entertainment and special appearances from the Patriots Cheerleaders (Between 12noon and 2pm) and the Patriots Mascot "Pat the Patriot" ( Between 11am and 1pm). There will also be raffles on the day for various prizes from Dicks sporting goods vouchers to tickets to the Manchester Wolves Arena league football team. The cost for entry is $1 per person Tournament Details All games will be played on the same day!!! The 6-8 Division tournament will run from 9:30am onwards The 9-11 Division tournament will run from 11:30am onwards The 12-15 Division tournament will run from 2pm onwards (The above times are estimations depending on number of teams entering the tournament) Games will be 26 minutes long consisting of two 13 minute halves. All games will be played under NFL youth flag football tournament rules. Maximum roster size is 10 players. Players do not have to had played in the league to participate. Teams are responsible for supplying their own flags and jersey's.
