| This summer Peabody Youth Flag Football is organizing a football festival for the youth of Massachusetts. This event is the first of its kind in Peabody and promises to be an extravaganza for all the football fans of MA. The main event will be the flag football tournament which will be played on the high school football fields in front of the bleachers and hundreds of screaming fans. The competition is co-ed and will be divided into three categories, 6-8 yr old, 9-11 yr old and 12-15 yr olds. The tournament entry fee is $50 per team and every team is guaranteed at least 3 games, all finalists will receive trophies and there will be a small presentation for the champions of each age category.(see below for more tournament details) Running along side the flag football tournament there will be all kinds of games such as football toss, bungee run, bouncy castles, obstacle courses and much more to keep the kids entertained. There will also be competitions like the throwing, kicking and punting competition, the 40rd dash and accuracy throwing. Mom's and Dad's can give it a go too!!! Also on the day there will be concession stands, face painting, entertainment and special appearances from the Patriots cheerleaders and the Patriots mascot "Pat the Patriot". There will also be raffles on the day for Dicks sporting goods merchandise and 2 birthday parties at FULL BLAST on RT1 each for up to 50 kids worth over $500 each!!! The cost for entry is $1 per person to raise money for Peabody Youth Flag Football. Tournament Details All games will be played on the same day!!! The 6-8 Division tournament will run from 9:30am until 12:30pm The 9-11 Division tournament will run from 11:30am until 3:30pm The 12-15 Division tournament will run from 3:30pm until 6:30pm (The above times are estimations depending on number of teams entering the tournament) Games will be 26 minutes long consisting of two 13 minute halves. All games will be played under NFL youth flag football tournament rules. Maximum roster size is 10 players with a minimum of 7 players on each team. Players do not have to had played in the league to participate. Teams are responsible for supplying their own flags and jersey's.
