Peabody Youth Flag Football:
PYFF was introduced in April 2004 by Austin Bradshaw. The inaugural season had 32
children playing in 4 teams. The Fall season 2004 proved to be very popular and 167
children registered creating 18 teams. The Spring 2005 season shows the increasing
popularity of the league with 270 children signing up, creating 28 teams. There are five
age categories in the boys and girls program;5-6, 7-8, 9-11,12-14 and 15-17. The games
are played at the Higgins middle school lower fields in the Spring and at Emerson park
fields in the Fall, the fields are excellent and perfect for football. Games are held Monday
to Friday from 4pm to 6pm in the spring and Saturday afternoons in the Fall.
NFL Youth Flag Football
The NFL youth flag football program was first implemented in 1996 to introduce children at
a young age to football. The program teaches children the basics of football, from
snapping a ball to throwing and catching. Children of all ages, sizes and abilities find they
can be successful at flag football. Flag football is non-contact, safe and fun for everyone
even the coaches!!!
Peabody youth flag football helps boys and girls aged between 5 and 17 learn the
fundamentals of football. It also provides parents with an opportunity to coach a team and
feel like part of the NFL program. The NFL youth flag football program is set up for all
standards of ability from beginner to advanced. Parents and kids both find as the league
continues to grow so does the standard of play.

Peabody, once in the spring and again in the fall. The season comprises of 5 weeks of
