Tournament OF Champions!!! 12/12/04
Every year the NFL runs a National Tournament of Champions at
the Disney world of sports complex in Florida. In Order to qualify
there are several regional tournaments held around the country in
October of every year. If your team wins a regional qualifier then
10 players and 2 coaches receive an all expenses paid trip to the
nationals. In the New England area alone there are 23 leagues
and throughout the country there are over 400 leagues, which
makes for thousands of children playing flag football every year.
Currently the nearest qualifier to Peabody is in New York,
however after speaking to NFL tournament organizers there is a
good possibility that next years regional qualifier could be as
close as our own New England Patriots Gillete stadium. So fingers
crossed and watch this space!!!Highlights of this years
tournament of Champions are on ESPN and ESPN 2.
