Gillette stadium trip a huge success!!!8/1/05
Last weekends trip to Gillette stadium was a huge success. Over
150 parents and children attended the trip to Foxboro last
weekend to see the New England Patriots in training camp. Also
on display was the Patriots experience and almost all the children
entered the Punt, Pass and Kick tournament run by the Patriots
organization.
The league took 3 buses in total to Gillette stadium, 2 on
Saturday 7/30/05 and one on Sunday 7/31/05. Over 10000
people attended the weekend session and while most of the
children and parents that attended were from the league we also
had other interested parties along for the ride. Most of the 9-11
and 12-14 Patriots attended the trip along with representatives
from the 49ers, Titans, Saints, Bengals and Chiefs who most of
which received autographs from Tom Brady, Corey Dillion, Doug
Flutie and many more.
All children that entered the PP&K will find out within the next 2
weeks if they advance to the next round.
Thank you goes out to my wife Janel for helping out organizing
everything and also a thank you to league referees Brad, Shane
and Mike for helping out on the day along with Derek. Last but not
least all the parents and kids that made it a great weekend for all
of us.
